Meet your lender

The lender, you know.

I'm Kathleen Connerty — a mortgage broker in Nashua, New Hampshire, and I've been doing this since 1991. I help people who think they can't own a home achieve the American dream, and I treat the whole process like I'm holding your hand through one of the biggest decisions of your life — because I am.

How I got here

I grew up in Lowell, Massachusetts, graduated from Merrimack College with a psychology degree in 1991, and honestly had no idea what I wanted to do. My mom told me to "get a job where you dress up," so I went to work alongside my brother, who was a loan officer — and I never looked back. I spent 13 years originating jumbo mortgages for high-net-worth clients at Mellon (now BNY Mellon), where I learned underwriting and credit inside and out.

When my husband Patrick and I were ready to buy our first home, we couldn't afford anything in Massachusetts, so we looked north and landed in Hudson, New Hampshire. We put the minimum down, got a gift from a parent, and I used a bonus I'd saved from work. That's how we got our start — which is exactly why I have so much patience for the buyer who thinks the numbers will never work. I've been on that side of the table.

Today I'm a broker and sales manager at Pinnacle Mortgage Corporation, where I've been since 2018, with my own brick-and-mortar branch on Amherst Street in Nashua. As a broker I have access to more than 90 lenders, which means I can find programs most banks simply can't offer — first-time buyer grants, down payment assistance, self-employed and bank-statement loans, and investor financing.

How I work

Advisor, not salesperson

I don't sell rate. I lay out your down payment, closing costs, real monthly payment, and escrows clearly and simply, so you know exactly what you're getting into before you commit.

Baby steps

This process can feel overwhelming, and that's normal. We take it one step at a time, go over everything as many times as you need, and there's no such thing as a dumb question.

A lender for life

My clients become clients for life. Whether it's your next home, an investment property, or a refinance down the road, I'm here for all of it — before, during, and long after closing.

Community & recognition

I'm a 2025–26 New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority Fellow — our group spent a week in Washington, D.C. meeting with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae, and we rolled up our sleeves on a Habitat for Humanity build here at home. I'm a past three-year president of my local Rotary, a former chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, and I currently serve on the Opera New Hampshire board and the Pinnacle Foundation board, which raises funds to support veterans and fund children's programs, including an after-school music program in Manchester.

Outside of mortgages, Patrick and I have spent the last 20 years watching our three sons play football, lacrosse, and wrestling. We share our home with a German Shepherd named Dolly and a 16-year-old cat named Daffodil. I love to cook, decorate, and host — and I believe a home is the foundation of a family: roots, stability, and a way to build generational wealth.

Let's talk — no cost, no pressure

You don't need perfect credit or a big pile of savings to start. The best thing you can do is have a conversation and build a roadmap — whether you're ready now or a year from now. There's no charge and no obligation.
